Enrollment at Parker Unified School District decreased by 7.7% compared to previous school year

There were 1,715 students enrolled in Parker Unified School District in the 2022-23 school year, 7.7% less than the 1,858 in the previous year, according to the Arizona Department of Education.

Out of the total students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.9% of them were boys, and 48.1% were girls.

The most represented ethnicity among Parker Unified School District students was Latino, accounting for 49.3% of the student population.

Parker Unified School District roughly covers schools within La Paz County and has a main office in Parker.

Among the six schools in Parker Unified School District, Parker High School recorded the highest enrollment of 507 students in the 2022-23 school year.

A 2023 study from Scholaroo.com ranked Arizona last out of all U.S. states in terms of educational success, giving the state poor marks for school quality, student success, and teacher-to-student ratio.

In 2022 Arizona had roughly one teacher for every 19 students, compared to the national average of one teacher for 16 students. Teachers handling a higher number of students was found to have negative consequences for students’ school performance.
