There were 137 students enrolled in Quartzsite Elementary District schools in the 2022-23 school year, 8.1% less than the 149 in the previous year, according to the Arizona Department of Education.

Out of the total students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 54% of them were boys, and 46% were girls.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 57.7% of the Quartzsite Elementary District total enrollment.

Quartzsite Elementary District roughly covers schools within La Paz County and has a main office in Ehrenberg.

In 2022 Arizona had roughly one teacher for every 19 students, compared to the national average of one teacher for 16 students. Teachers handling a higher number of students was found to have negative consequences for students’ school performance.

WalletHub claimed Arizona’s school system ranked among the worst across U.S. for class size, performance, funding, safety, and instructors’ credentials.
