Yuma Elementary District Education: 61 American Indian or Alaskan Native students were enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 61 American Indian or Alaskan Native students enrolled in Yuma Elementary District schools in the 2022-23 school year, 1.7% more than the previous year, according to the Arizona Department of Education.

Data showed that Yuma Elementary District welcomed 9,092 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, American Indian or Alaskan Native students comprised 0.7% of the student body to be the least represented ethnicity in the district.

Yuma Elementary District roughly covers schools within Yuma County and has a main office in Yuma.

Each of the 19 schools in Yuma Elementary District enrolled less than 10 American Indian or Alaskan Native students in 2022-23 school year.

A 2023 study from Scholaroo.com ranked Arizona last out of all U.S. states in terms of educational success, giving the state poor markets for school quality, student success, and teacher-to-student ratio.
