There were 39 Pacific Islander students enrolled in Yuma County schools in the 2022-23 school year, a 11.4% decrease from from the 44 Pacific Islander students in the previous school year, according to the Arizona Department of Education.

Data showed that Yuma County welcomed 38,336 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Pacific Islander students made up 0.1% of the student body making them the least represented ethnicity in the county.

In 2022 Arizona had roughly one teacher for every 19 students, compared to the national average of one teacher for 16 students. Teachers handling a higher number of students was found to have negative consequences for students' school performance.
