Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) Yuma County UPDATES as of November 12, 2021

Yuma County issued the following announcement on Nov. 12.

Yuma County Health Officials confirm 54 new cases of COVID-19 and 1 new death, bringing the total cases to 42,080 and total deaths to 920. Health officials are conducting contact investigations.

HOLIDAY NUMBERS:

Thursday, November 11 - 34 new cases, *1 death

*NOTE: Based on the ADHS/County Vital Records Surveillance information, deaths reported occurred as described below:

Vaccination is the best way to protect yourself, your family, and your community against COVID-19. Vaccines are effective in preventing severe illness, hospitalization, and death; they also help reduce the spread of the virus in our community.

The Health District is providing COVID-19 vaccine clinics Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am to 11:30 am and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm throughout the month of November. You must schedule an appointment. Only Pfizer and Moderna vaccines will be available.   

NOTE: The Yuma County Public Health Services District is now offering the Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine, authorized for children and adolescents ages 5 -11.
